Two Poems From Two Vintage Granite Staters
Midwest to New England
©2011
The Midwest is sultry warm in the solstice.
A blanket of humid breath lingers on all sides.
Fresh water beaches invite dippers and sun worshipers
To stay in keeping with the Great Lake’s tides.
A blanket of humid breath lingers on all sides.
Fresh water beaches invite dippers and sun worshipers
To stay in keeping with the Great Lake’s tides.
Must stay cozy away from the blue bluster!
Alas ... these conditions are the winter’s constraints!
New England has grabbed my heart and
Might be my place of rest, I vow!
However, it matters not the time or season ...
No matter where the traveler might roam ...No matter what entices one to travel ...
A smile attests to home!

Our Northern Neighbor
By Bill FerulloThe neighbor, who is right next door,
Can be a treasure, that’s for sure. However, they can sometimes move away
Or we decide that we cannot stay.
The States have the very best
From Canada, beyond the rest!
So friendly, kind and always there.
Canada ... our neighbor fair!
