The Wedding Day

For those who have read the Posts and Stories on this Blog, I have written about Daniel, my long-time boyfriend. The fellow who has a 1937 Plymouth Sedan with a 331 HEMI engine. The Sedan and I are the joys of his life. That was proved on July 23, 2016.
Daniel and I got hitched, tied the knot, jumped the broomstick. In other words, we married!!!! Happily married with many friends, neighbors and family to witness the event.

The photos will show the nervous moments, the exchange of rings, the relief of the completion and the reception.

Wedding Cake

Cutting the cake.

Feeding each other some cake.

Jenn & Daniel, the Groom's Son & Daughter-in-law.

Jenn helps with the additional cakes.

Isaiah, my grandson, without his tie.

Isaiah sampling the icing on the white cake.

Liza, Isaiah's mom, tells him no. Not a popular suggestion.

Liza is my son's wife and my grandson's mother. My son, Jacob, is a Forest Fire Fighter in California. Mostly in Los Angeles County. Unfortunately, Jacob's supervisor could not give him the time to come east because of he horrendous number of fires. I was so happy Liza was able to bring her family and Isaiah to our wedding.

My extended family.
Zayda (one of Liza's sisters), Liza, Blanca (Liza's mother), Esly (Liza's daughter from a previous relationship. Least, but in no way last, Isaiah -- the 3 1/2 year-old whirlwind.

Our family group, which included Sasha, our furry kid. Daniel, the son, was off playing horseshoes, had no idea of this photo-op. We don't even know if he won.

This wedding was the kind I had always envisioned -- a garden wedding with family and friends, and live acoustic music!! And, really good food. The other wonderful part about the wedding was that Daniel, the father, wanted the same kind of wedding. Designed by us for the life we had already begun to travel. We look forward for many more miles on roads yet to travel.
Keep Smiling and Cruising!!!
