Adieu to Summer

The
summer is beginning its early rest.
Not
a super sizzle of a summer, but
Sweet,
at best.
Warm
air of fragrant lilac for me and you.
Still
green crowns of trees, top their head
With
the hint of dappling colors of gold and
The
deep rusty red.
Colors
to cascade, to give a clue.
For
one more month we pray,
No
comforters or heavy sheets.
The
summer doesn’t want to wane,
To
go,
To
fade,
To
blow away!
Oh,
how we need the sky’s deep blue!
Summer
so wishes to stay, but Nature knows
It
is the turning time.
Winter
winds will soon make swirling blows.
This
is why we must kiss the summer adieu.
